1. Who we are
Zone is software developed and operated by Kyle Zhang(“we”, “our”, “Zone”). Our website is getzone.app. You can reach us at hello@getzone.app.
2. The license we grant you
When you purchase Zone, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Zone application on the Macs you personally own or control. One purchase = one person. If your organization needs multiple seats, contact us and we'll sort it out fairly.
Your Zone license may be activated on up to 2 Macsthat you use personally. If you need Zone on additional personal Macs — for example, if you've replaced a Mac and can no longer deactivate the old one — email hello@getzone.app and we'll help. The activation limit exists to prevent sharing, not to inconvenience real users.
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense Zone or any part of it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Zone, except where the law expressly permits it.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or license notices in Zone.
- Use Zone to build a competing product, or to train any machine learning model without our written permission.
3. Free trial
Zone offers a 14-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial ends, Zone will ask you to purchase a license to keep using it. We do not bill you automatically.
4. Purchases and payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited(“Paddle”), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, chargebacks, and receipts. When you purchase Zone, you are also agreeing to Paddle's buyer terms.
Prices on our website are shown in US dollars. Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, US sales tax) are calculated and added by Paddle at checkout based on your location.
5. Refunds
We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of purchase. See our refund policy for details.
6. Updates and support
We may release updates to Zone from time to time. Updates are delivered through Zone's built-in updater. Your license entitles you to all future updates to the version of Zone you purchased, at no additional cost.
We provide best-effort support by email at hello@getzone.app. We aim to respond within a few business days.
7. Privacy
Zone is designed to keep your data local. We do not collect telemetry about how you use Zone or what you name your Spaces. See our privacy policy for the full picture.
8. Intellectual property
Zone, including its name, logo, code, and design, is our property and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of Zone to you.
9. Third-party software
Zone runs on macOS and uses Apple frameworks provided by Apple Inc. Zone is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
10. Disclaimers
Zone is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Zone will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will work with every configuration of macOS.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Zone or these terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for Zone in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
12. Termination
You may stop using Zone at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these terms. On termination, the license to use Zone ends, but the sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where reasonable, notify you by email. Continuing to use Zone after an update means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the courts located in California.
